Christine Jelbert

Christine found the Arbor through word-of-mouth 6 years ago and hasn’t looked back since. The Arbor transformed her children’s homeschool experience and gave them a community they are so grateful for. Christine is the board secretary and enjoys giving back to the community that has so enriched her family’s lives.

Christine has a Bachelor’s degree in music and currently works as the Executive Director of the Community Youth Orchestra of Southern California. Prior to this, she started a business teaching music to little children; worked as a researcher at the Institute for Manufacturing at the University of Cambridge, and worked as a consultant for McKinsey & Co.

Currently, Christine lives in Lake Forest with her husband, three children, and a menagerie of pets. She grew up in South Africa, then moved to the UK for 5 years, and Singapore for 4 years before moving to California. She loves gardening, music, hiking, reading, travelling, and spending time with her family. So far, no one else in her family has developed the same obsession for plants but she’s working on them!
