Marisha Kao
Board MemberMarisha was born into a family of educators in Korea and when her family immigrated to Southern California when she was young, she stayed local since. She attended K-12 at the Fullerton School District after graduating from University of Southern California with a Bachelors in Education and teaching credential, she also obtained her M.S. there in Educational Psychology.
Marisha has worked as a classroom teacher, GATE coordinator, homeschool pod leader, curriculum developer and director in various educational settings for 12 years, but her greatest joy now is in homeschooling her own 3 children: ages 6, 8, and 12. She is going into her 5th year homeschooling and is so thankful to have found Arbor 3 years ago. She is excited about the opportunity to serve on the Arbor’s Board this year and hopes to contribute to this wonderful community.
Apart from teaching, Marisha enjoys hanging out with her friends and family, attending musicals, watching K-dramas, following K-bands on tour, and traveling. Her dream is to travel the world and world-school with her family!
