Candice Villagomez

Board Vice President

Candice Villagomez was born and raised in Southern California. She spent many years teaching and coaching swimming. She attended Cal State Fullerton and was an elementary school teacher prior to taking on the role of mother. She has served on various mom and parent groups and organizations.

She currently resides in Whittier with her husband, 3 children, 2 dogs, 1 cat, and 5 chickens. Her husband is a principal at a nearby elementary school. She has a high schooler who will be attending CSArts, a middle schooler who is a club swimmer, and a 1^st grade dancer who will be starting at Arbor this year– all of whom keep her quite busy!

She began homeschooling in the fall of 2020, and shortly after found The Arbor Learning Community. The Arbor has been one of the highlights of their homeschooling journey and she looks forward to serving another year on the board.
