Bethany Perez
Board MemberBethany lives in Corona and is a homeschool mom of two- a sixth grader and an incoming high school freshman. She stumbled upon The Arbor a couple years ago and has been thrilled to find such a creative community. After searching locally for interesting class options for her children and coming up short, her family has found The Arbor’s wide range of unique, hands-on courses to be a breath of fresh air. She is excited to have the opportunity to serve on the board.
Bethany has been in the homeschool world the last 20 years, working with students as a private tutor and primary educator long before her own kids were even born. She graduated from Cal Poly Pomona with a passion for education, but always knew that the public school setting was not the right teaching format for her. She previously worked as a director of a tutoring center, but she has primarily worked as a teacher of small groups of students in a variety of subjects- from teaching ESL to marine biology to orchestrating book clubs and writing classes. Currently, she relishes the role of homeschooling her own kids. Besides teaching, Bethany enjoys both cooking and baking, curling up with a good book, and traveling with her family.
