Jessica Johnson
TeacherJessica Johnson grew up in Orange County and is a language arts educator with a Masters in Teaching who brings a warm, student-centered approach to learning. She has over seven years of classroom experience, including teaching and leading an international program in China, and seven years as a homeschooling parent to her two daughters. This has equipped her with a deep appreciation for diverse learners and alternative educational paths. She is passionate about supporting emerging readers and writers as they develop critical thinking skills and a deeper love of literature.
Jessica believes that children thrive when they are met with consistent support, gentle guidance, and clear expectations. Her classroom style blends thoughtful structure with flexibility, creating an environment where students feel safe to take risks, reflect, and grow.
She was drawn to The Arbor Learning Community for its strong sense of community, family focus, and commitment to meeting children where they are. Outside of the classroom, Jessica enjoys reading, thrifting, trying to grow things, and is currently teaching herself embroidery.
